FAQs

Let’s Talk Safety. Because Safety Isn’t a Checkbox; It’s the Standard.

Yes 100%. Temporary workers are protected under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (the OSH Act) just like any other employee. Whether temporary or permanent, all employees have a right to a safe and healthy workplace from day one.

You are responsible for any job-specific safety/training because you are most familiar with the equipment, processes, and hazards better than anyone to protect your workers.

The employer that provides the day-to-day supervision of the worker must report to OSHA any work-related incident resulting in a fatality, in-patient hospitalization, amputation or loss of an eye. The staffing agency and host employer must also set up a way for employees to
report work-related injuries and illnesses promptly,

You hold the primary responsibility for selecting, providing, and ensuring the use of adequate PPE. This is because the host employer is most familiar with the workplace hazards that the temporary workers will encounter, generally controls the workplace hazards and activities that will take place around them.

This will depend on the industry and type of work the temporary worker is placed in. Before sending an associate to a job, we take a closer look at your facility to ensure a safe jobsite. We take a look at your safety history (like your OSHA 300 log) to make sure we’re sending people to a safe, well-managed environment. Because our goal isn’t just to fill a role—it’s to make sure everyone goes home safe at the end of the shift.

You are responsible for ensuring your temporary employee completes any training or certifications to complete the job assignment. Even if a temp claims prior experience, you must still conduct the practical workplace training to ensure they are competent on your equipment.
