Meet AIS Employee Spotlight, Michelle Hendrix!

If you could choose any animal to be, what would it be and why?
My Yorkie Bennie has the best life and is very spoiled.

What gets you out of bed every morning?
My job, I love the fact that I get to help people every day.

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your younger self?
Never give up, always go after your dreams.

When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a pilot in the Air Force.

Do you have any pets? What are their names and what are they like?
I have two dogs. My miniature dachshund is 11 years old, her name is Millie, she is lazy and sassy. My Yorkie is 3 years old, he is 5 pounds and has the best personality. Everyone loves Bennie.

What kind of activities do you like to do with your friends or family?
Traveling

What was your favorite vacation?
We took a 2-month family vacation, driving across the country to California. This was the last trip I got to take with my grandparents.

What made you want to work where you’re at now?
Our awesome associates.

Before working at your current job, what was the most interesting job you had?
I was an on-site manager at an account.

What do you look forward to most when you walk into work?
Serving our associates.

What is your favorite thing about your job?
Knowing that we helped not only our associates but also helped their families.

What’s unique about the culture at your company?
The family atmosphere.

What advice would you give to someone looking for a job right now?
Be professional and reliable.

What do you find most rewarding about your job?
Finding the right job, for the right person.

What led you to a career in staffing?
I never want to forget where I came from. I remember being a single mom and needing a job really badly. I walked into a staffing agency and they gave me a chance to prove myself as an administrative admin. I only grew from that experience and want to give others the same opportunity.

What have you gained from working where you’re at?
Knowledge and that every day is different, and is always a learning experience.

What is your proudest moment at your job?
Helping an associate from another country finding a job so he could support his family. He was so grateful and I will never forget the look on his face when he got the job.
